A Kenilworth estate agents has said it is "still busy" this autumn despite the end of the stamp duty holiday.
Julie Philpot of Julie Philpot Residential has released an autumn update just weeks after the holiday ended fully on September 30.
The holiday had been gradually phased out over the summer - from July to the end of September no stamp duty was charged on a residential property bought for up to £250,000.
Between July 2020 and June 2021 no tax was charged on the first £500,000 of property purchases.
After the end of the initial phase in July Julie said it felt like "the morning after the night before" but said this week that business has continued despite the reduced government incentives for the housing market.
"I am pleased to say that we are still busy and sales are still being achieved which is really great of course," she said.
"There are still house sales being agreed, and we are doing a lot of valuations for new clients who are planning to move."
With the end in the stamp duty holiday coinciding with the start of the Christmas period, which is usually quieter for house sales, Julie has reassured customers that she is on hand to give expert advice.
She added: "We are here for any help or advice that you may require.
"I am talking to a lot of people now, which is usual for this time of year, whether they consider putting their homes on the market now or should they wait until the new year.
"If you want any help or advice for someone like myself - who has been in this role for well over 30 years, so I have a lot of experience of various types of housing markets - just give me a call and I would be happy to come and meet with you very informally."
