Poets in Kenilworth have just two weeks left to enter an annual, regional poetry competition.

Poetry On Loan is an Arts Council-funded organisation whose aim is "to promote contemporary poetry through public libraries across the West Midlands."

The third phase of Warwickshire County Council's Discretionary Grant Fund has been opened to small businesses in Kenilworth this week.

The scheme, which was announced by the Government at the beginning of May has been managed at a local authority level, across the nation. Warwickshire County Council have been allocated £1,738,000 under the programme. This figure is not intended to be exceeded, even if not every eligible business receives funding.

Electric vehicle owners in Kenilworth will now be able to apply for a free parking permit from the town council.

The permit scheme is being run in conjunction with Warwickshire County Council, and will provide free parking for all electric vehicles in council-run car parks across the district, all day, every day.
