The Leader of Warwickshire County Council has advised that residents may need to wait until the 'latter part of this year' for services to resume fully at Kenilworth Railway Station.

Speaking at today's (March 16) full council meeting, council leader Cllr Izzi Seccombe (Con, Stour and the Vale) said she has held meetings with operators West Midlands Railway as well as MP for Kenilworth and South Jeremy Wright.

With Child Exploitation Awareness Day coming this Thursday (March 18) a number of Warwickshire authorities and charities have come together to re-launch a campaign to help raise awareness of child exploitation (CE) within the county.

A county councillor admits she was gobsmacked by the findings of a survey carried out by the county's fire service that appeared to show resistance to the service representing the diversity of the local population.

Five proposals that will help form the basis of a five-year management plan were put out to consultation and the 163 replies came from members of the public and current or former employees of Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service.

A prospective Conservative county councillor has pledged to continue the work of Cllr Alan Cockburn in maintaining Kenilworth's urban canopy.

Richard Spencer, who is running for St John's Ward at the May Warwickshire County Council elections, has said he will continue to plant trees across the town, as the incumbent St John's representative Cllr Cockburn has done.

Kenilworth Lions has today (March 8) announced that the 2021 Grand Show has had to be cancelled due to the current and ongoing Government restrictions regarding Covid-19.

However, in order to facilitate the fundraising that the group does for local charities and community groups, Kenilworth Lions will instead be hosting a 'Support Charities Day' in September.
