All pubs and restaurants in Kenilworth will be chomping at the bit to welcome customers for the first time in 2021 this coming week, none more so than the Almanack and the Virgins and Castle.

The new owners of the Virgins & Castle on High Street, Kenilworth have just passed the anniversary of their first year in charge, and like many other businesses, they're hoping their second year isn't a repeat of 2020.

One of the inspiring things about being Mayor of Kenilworth is that you get to meet lots of people doing some amazing things to help make our town, our world, a better place.

Kenilworth Town Centre - Abbey End

As we now enter the fourth month of 2021 it seems hard to believe that we find ourselves in a similar position to this time in 2020 when the nation was getting used to going into lockdown. Despite the situation that we currently find ourselves in, change is very much in the air for Kenilworth and that has dominated the last month's news.

We have written about the proposed developments at Castle Farm and Abbey Fields almost daily it seems as the public consultation period came to an end mid-March. Alongside 90 objections from residents, Historic England also raised an objection to the new leisure facilities at Abbey Fields.
