The outstanding work of Kenilworth locals Ciara and Seanna Hamill over the course of the pandemic has been recognised at a special event bringing together the UK's business community. And at 17 and 19 years old respectively, they are the youngest recipients in the UK.

The Roll of Honour was announced at the Social Enterprise Futures summit which took place on November 25 and 26, and saw nearly 1000 attendees come together to celebrate the heroes of the last year.

Parking fees have been suspended at council-owned car parks for December

Festive shoppers in Kenilworth have been handed an early Christmas present after the leader of Warwick District Council announced that parking would be free in council-owned car parks throughout December.

Cllr Andrew Day (Con, Bishop's Tachbrook) said he hoped the move would help support local businesses as they continued their struggle to survive the coronavirus pandemic.

Following an announcement this morning from Health Secretary Matt Hancock, Kenilworth and the rest of Warwickshire have been escalated to Tier Three in the UK Government's three-tier system for dealing with Covid-19.

The new restrictions will begin on Thursday, December 3 and will see much harsher restrictions imposed upon the people of Kenilworth than before the second national lockdown began.

The famous Virgins & Castle on the old High Street in Kenilworth has been working with a young, local designer to help them bring to life the magic of Christmas of a bygone time ready for their re-opening in December.

The 16th century pub, that is part of the Everards Brewery and owned by hospitality group Caviar & Chips, had to close its doors, along with every other pub in the country, on Thursday, November 5.
