Girls’ football team triumphs with emphatic cup final victory

The Year 5 and Year 6 girls' football team from Balsall Common Primary School Academy delivered a stunning performance to secure a 4-0 victory in the highly anticipated South Solihull cup final.

The girls finished the whole league with a 100 per cent win record (seven wins from seven games), 29 goals scored and only one conceded.

The first goal of the match at Solihull Moors FC came early in the match, setting the tone for the team's confidence and control over the game.

With an impressive display of attacking football and solid defence, the girls dominated the game, ensuring a well-deserved win.

The team's goalkeeper also played a crucial role, making key saves to maintain a clean sheet.

Miss Kefalas and Mr Reid, the team's coaches, praised the players for their hard work and dedication, stating: "We couldn't be prouder of this team.

"Their commitment, teamwork, and passion for the game have led to this incredible achievement.

"They truly deserved this victory."

The win marks a significant milestone for the school's football program, highlighting the growing success of girls' sports within our school community - the school said.
