The winners have been chosen in a festive colouring competition which celebrated the Two Castles Run.

Young people were invited to colour in an artist's festive scene featuring Warwick and Kenilworth Castles – the route of the annual run – to win prizes.

The competition was organised by Leamington Spa solicitors Blythe Liggins, the long-term sponsors of the run.

The colouring sheet for the competition was based on hand-drawn illustrations by artist Jackie Roberts of Love2Dream, who has created Christmas card designs for Leamington, Kenilworth, Warwick and Stratford upon Avon.

Winners were chosen in two age categories - one for Key Stage One, including children in reception, Year One and Year Two, and another for Key Stage Two, including children in Years three to six.

Winners will each receive a £20 shopping voucher, while their schools will be given a £50 voucher to spend on new books.

This year's Key Stage One winner was from Bishops Tachbrook C of E Primary School, while the Key Stage Two category was won by a pupil from All Saints C of E Academy in Warwick.

Donna Bothamley, Partner at Blythe Liggins Solicitors, said: "We have really enjoyed collaborating with Jackie for a second year running to turn her fabulous artwork into a colouring sheet for local children to enjoy in the run-up to Christmas.

"Congratulations to the winning pupils and their schools, and we hope that children at both schools enjoy the new books."

Artist Jackie, who is based in Lichfield, said: "My drawings are mainly in black and white, so it's great to see how all the young artists have used colour in different ways to colour in this year's design and celebrate these much-loved local landmarks.

"Congratulations to them all on their creativity and well done to the winners on their prizes."
