Here are our top picks for the coming days:

1. Festive Fringe

December's Fringe from the Talisman Theatre brings you a "Bumper-packed Christmas Fringe Special".

Tonight (December 7), the Holiday Inn will once again pay host to the monthly performance, featuring a collection of humorous short plays.

Organisers said: "The Talisman Fringe is thrilled to announce a fun-filled and fabulous festive treat for our joyous and uplifting December Fringe.

"We're excited to welcome back Pop Voices, who will be spreading good tidings with their enchanting Christmas songs.

"But that's not all – they'll also be your delightful hosts, weaving the festive evening into a seamless tapestry of entertainment by treating us to a song in between each performance as well as introducing each act.

"We also welcome back our wonderful Youth Theatre group who will be directing and starring in some of the plays."

For December there will be only one performance, starting at 8pm.

More details here.

2. Beers, Burgers & Gin!

Head to East Chase Distillers this weekend for Beers, Burgers and of course, Heritage Gin.

"The beers are supplied by our friends at Church Farm Brewery, the gin (obviously) will be supplied by us and the burgers will be provided by Phoenix Dining food truck," ECD said.

Here's what's on the menu:

  • Wagyu Burger with lettuce, tomato & red onion chutney
  • Plain & Simple Burger with Cheese and/or bacon (single or double burger)
  • The Crimburger: Turkey steak, stuffing, Brussel slaw & cranberry relish - topped with pig in blanket and a pot of dipping gravy.

The tables are free to book over Saturday (December 9) and Sunday from 12pm to 4pm.

And with the East Chase Farm Christmas market there will be plenty to do.

3. Orange Café

Local Soroptimists are encouraging residents to head to an Orange Café on Saturday 9 December from 10am to 4pm at Milk and Mocha.

They will be there wearing orange, ready to chat about the things people can do to make a difference, especially for women and girls, in 2024.

And of course, there will be orange themed cakes available for a small donation.

The group will be raising funds towards the Refuges in Warwickshire as the Christmas period can be an especially difficult time.
