A Warwickshire man has been convicted of hunting a wild mammal with dogs following a Warwickshire Police investigation.

Benjamin Halsall, 24, of Whatcote Road near Shipston-on-Stour was today (March 17) fined £1,000 and ordered to pay another £1,000 in costs following the incident last year.

"Last year communities across Warwickshire and the country were deeply saddened when they saw a video on social media showing illegal fox hunting," a Warwickshire Police statement said.

"Officers from Warwickshire Police's Rural Crime Team worked incredibly hard to gather evidence to build up a robust case to put to the courts.

"And in Coventry Magistrates Court today, 17 March, all that hard work came to fruition" when Benjamin Halsall, 24, of Whatcote Road near Shipston-on-Stour was convicted of hunting a wild mammal with dogs."
