The M40 between Junction 15 and 12 is now open in both directions following serve delays.
Four people are now in hospital following a major crash on the M40 last night.
The motorway was closed southbound between Warwick and Gaydon following the incident last night.
Four people have been taken to hospital following the crash which involved an HGV, a van and multiple cars between junction 12 and 13.
The incident saw a lorry crashing into the opposite carriageway and hitting two cars.
The motorway remained closed for some time whilst the barriers were replaced and the road was resurfaced.
National Highways reported delays of over three hours, meanwhile the local road network in Warwick has seen extensive delays and problems.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 7.42pm to the M40 and sent five ambulances, two paramedic officers and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Critical Care Car to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "On arrival crews found six patients.
"A man and a woman were treated for serious injuries, and both were conveyed under emergency driving conditions to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
"A second man was treated for potentially serious injuries, and a third man was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
"Two further people did not wish to be assessed."
