Temporary traffic lights are to be installed on a busy Balsall Common road for a month for HS2 works.

The traffic lights are due to be installed on Waste Lane today (June 2) and will remain in place until June 27.

An HS2 notice said: "To enable the new railway to pass under Waste Lane, the road will have to be realigned over a new bridge before the existing bridge is demolished.

"We need to carry out some preparatory works along the north verge of Waste Lane.

"To complete these works safely we will be installing temporary two-way traffic lights.

"The works will take place from Monday 2 June to 27 June 2025 and the temporary traffic lights will be on 24/7."
