Teenagers spotted placing street sign in middle of busy Kenilworth road

Police are appealing for information after a group of teenagers were reportedly spotted blocking part of Warwick Road with a street sign.

Staff at the Holiday Inn say they saw the group of 15 to 16-year-old boys placing the sign on the road near the clock tower.

The incident reportedly took place at 3.20am on Monday (May 1).

A Kenilworth and Warwick Rural Police spokesperson said: "Reported by the staff at the Holiday Inn on Monday 1 May at 3.20am that a group of males around 15-16yrs were seen placing a road sign on the main road next to the clock.

"This could have caused an accident and was very dangerous.

"Again where were your children?

"Why do they think this is funny?

"Any Information on identification please call 101 and quote incident 0045 - 1/5/23."
