Over £1,300 was raised at the annual Waverley Charity Quiz which took place on 12 April 2025, hosted by The Tiltyard.

This year the event had an "outstanding turnout" of over 80 people with 13 teams all vying for the title of 'team of the night'.

Everyone who joined and supported did with "vigour and enthusiasm" and the Waverley Road centre said it is "so grateful to have raised just over £1,300 to support ongoing projects to enhance the services we provide our clients".

As well as the quiz, there was also a raffle which many local businesses kindly donated to.

Organisers continued: "As you can see from the pictures, everyone had a good old laugh and in the midst of the busy evening we also managed to celebrate a number of birthday's that were happening over the week, obviously with cake.

"Waverley could not hold such an event every year without the support of local businesses who provided us with prizes for the raffle at the end of the evening.

"There are so many to thank, but please take a look on our Facebook page to see all who provided prizes, we are eternally grateful to everyone."

The event was also supported by Mayor of Kenilworth Cllr Alan Chalmers who has chosen Waverley as one of his dedicated charities this year.

Following the event, he said: "The Waverley Day Centre provides such a valuable service to the residents of Kenilworth.

"Having a warm, friendly place to meet with others and share a delicious meal together is so important to ensure our residents remain connected to their community.

"Events like this exciting quiz, play a key role in helping support the Waverley Day Centre to ensure they can continue to deliver such a service."

Will O'Meara a trustee for Waverley commented: "As a trustee of Waverley and host for the evening it was an honour and pleasure to be involved in this great social event that brings the community together in a local environment to raise awareness and funds for the people at the Waverley.

"We cannot thank Amanda and Dave enough, owners of the Tiltyard, enough for allowing us to hold our event there plus but all the very generous offer of providing us with food and making a sizeable contribution to the raffle."
