Kenilworth businesses combine in Jurassic Coast charity challenge

Two local businesses are set to combine in a major fundraiser challenge this summer.
Richard Gibson - co-owner of Fitness Worx - and Harry Philpot - son of local independent estate agent Julie Philpot - are taking on the Race the Sun Jurassic Coast Off-Road Challenge this June to raise money for Action Medical Research.
The duo have nearly hit their £950 fundraising target for the children's charity, and look set to smash through it before heading to Swanage this June.
The major challenge will see them set off on a 34 km bike ride at sunrise across Ballard Down, before taking on a ten-mile hike around the Jurassic Coast.

The challenge will then be finished off with a two-mile kayak setting off from Swanage beach - all while trying to complete the epic course before the sun sets.
And having a combined age of 94 Richard and Harry have chosen the team name of T-94.
Julie, who launched Julie Philpot Residential in 2019, will be out supporting the duo, and is encouraging as many locals to get behind their fundraising efforts.
"They are doing this event in aid of children's charity, Action Medical Research who have spent over 70 years funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children, and young people," she said.
"By supporting them you will be helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.
"Thank you so much for your support."
