'Excellent' exam results at Kenilworth School and Westwood Academy

A Level students in the Kenilworth Multi Academy Trust received another year of "excellent" exam results this morning (August 14), which were comparable to the exam results in 2019 at both Kenilworth School and Westwood Academy.
Students were delighted to receive their results, enabling them to progress to their chosen pathways of university or employment.
At Kenilworth School, the average grade at A Level was 'B' similar to the average grade in 2019, and the gold standard 'A* - A' pass rate was 35% and 'A*' - 'B' being 65 per cent.
At The Westwood Academy, the average grade is 'C+', which compares favourably to 2019 where the average was a 'C'. Students achieving the gold standard 'A* and A' percentage pass rate was 27 per cent.
In both schools, students made better progress than expected from GCSE to A Level due to the excellent teaching in both schools and our collaboration between the schools.
The provisional value added score, which is yet to be confirmed, was +0.43 at Kenilworth School and +0.28 at The Westwood Academy.

Sarah Hatch, Headteacher of The Westwood Academy said: "Our students were thrilled with their A Level outcomes, which was clear when they were opening their results today.
"It has been a pleasure to watch our Year 13 students embrace all opportunities that have been offered at Westwood and they are fully deserving of their excellent grades.
"I would like to wish all every success in their next steps and look forward to hearing about future achievements."
Nick Mummery, the incoming Head of School and current Head of Sixth Form/Senior Deputy Headteacher at Kenilworth School said: "I'm very pleased with this year's results and proud of what our students have achieved. They've worked hard alongside their teachers, and today is a reflection of that effort.
"I wish them all the best as they take their next steps and look forward to hearing about what comes next for each of them."
CEO, Hayden Abbott, congratulated everybody saying: "Students from both schools fully deserve the success following their hard work and commitment to their studies.
"They have worked hard and enjoyed excellent relationships with their staff and fellow students.
"I hope that they will remember the many extra-curricular activities and support provided to them throughout their journey. Good luck to all."
