The first free hearing aid support clinic at Hear Better With Us was a great success, and there are already plans to run a second event next month.

The Oaks Precinct clinic invited locals down on Wednesday (April 17) to receive free support for their hearing aids - and to enjoy complimentary tea and cake.

Audiologist and founder Khiyam Hussain said: "It was wonderful to meet and help so many people!

"People do find it difficult to make appointments with the NHS and running this clinic has really reiterated to me the need for such a service in the community.

"We are already making preparations for our next free hearing aid support clinic on Wednesday 22 May!"

The clinic is open to NHS and private hearing aid users experiencing any issues or needing help using their hearing aids.

It is also open to anyone who wishes to discuss their hearing difficulties.

Hear Better With Us will replace batteries, filters and tubes as well as clean and service hearing aids.

They will also carry out free hearing health checks at the clinic.

One client commented: "How lovely to come along and be able to talk to a specialist about all my concerns.

"Khiyam gave me a good check over and lots of useful advice.

"He also cleaned my hearing aids and changed my tubes.

"The tea and cakes were lovely too!"

Hear Better With Us is located in the Oaks Precinct, where there is free parking outside the clinic and disabled access.
