1. Talisman Fringe
It's a French Connection theme as Talisman Fringe returns this Thursday (May 7).
The monthly mixed-bill night heads back to the Holiday Inn for its usual double showing tonight.
"This special event brings together drama, music, and poetry, with every piece either performed in French, translated from French, or set in France – a true French Connection," organisers said.
The evening features two engaging dramatic works:
- A lively translation from La Bourgeois Gentilhomme, where a would-be influencer enlists the help of her music and dance tutors in a bid to break into the big leagues – with predictably comic results.
- "Elegy" by Julien Rosa, an original and thought-provoking piece set in Paris. When two English strangers meet in a bar, a simple conversation reveals unexpected connections that run deeper than nationality.
2. Remember Ukraine
Funding another ambulance to Ukraine is the aim at a sale this weekend.
The Kenilworth Lions Furniture Store is holding a Spring Sale & Plant Sale on Saturday 9 May from 9am to 12.30pm.
3. Live Music
Friday afternoon in Kenilworth is set to feature some 50s classics.
Ardens is hosting Hokum Pete & The Allstars from 2pm!
Organisers said: "Come along and enjoy some lively acoustic music from local musicians playing a wide range of classic songs from the 50's to the present day.
"Including Country, Blues, Rock & Roll and favourite pop songs!"
