Here are our top picks for the coming days.

1. Kenilworth Fringe

It's the first Thursday of the month which means it is time for Talisman Fringe tonight (July 3).

Tonight's performances kick start the celebrations of the 450th anniversary of Elizabeth I's visit to Kenilworth.

Organisers said: "Step into a world of intrigue, passion, and revelry as Talisman Theatre Fringe brings you a night of spellbinding performances, all inspired by the Elizabethan age.

"In celebration of the 450th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth I’s visit to Kenilworth, we invite you to an evening where history dances with imagination, and the Bard’s spirit lingers in the air.

"Expect an eclectic tapestry of theatre, poetry, dance, and the unexpected, where modern creativity meets the grandeur of the past. Whether you’re drawn to the wit of Shakespearean verse, the mystery of masked players, or the raw emotion of contemporary voices reimagining an age of intrigue, this one-of-a-kind event promises a feast for the senses."

2. ELIZABETH: THE GOLDEN AGE

The Talisman Theatre is bringing cinema back this week - also as part of the royal celebrations.

Saturday's (July 5) showing will show a mature Queen Elizabeth as she endures multiple crises late in her reign including court intrigues, an assassination plot, the Spanish Armada, and romantic disappointments.

"Elizabeth: The Golden Age is a historical thriller set against the backdrop of the religious fanaticism of the late 16th century," organisers said.

"The story continues 15 years on from the events of the film Elizabeth and visits the ‘Virgin Queen’ in the middle years of her reign, exploring her relationship with the adventurer Sir Walter Raleigh."

The film will be shown with an intermission with the bar and ice creams available.

3. Art Exhibition

This weekend sees a major exhibition featuring the work of local creatives.

Head to St John's Church from Thursday to Sunday to see the works of Kenilworth Artists.

"Kenilworth Artists are exhibiting the work of a number of local artists as part of the Warwickshire Open Studios Summer Arts Weeks 2025," organisers said.

"As well as the art on display, visitors can enjoy a cup of tea and a cake.

"There will also be the opportunity to win art produced by Kenilworth Artists in their raffle."
