Two men have been hospitalised following a crash on the A46 yesterday (25 May).

Emergency services were alerted to reports that a car had veered off the road in Leek Wootton around 4.41pm on Monday.

The incident saw severe traffic congestion and led to lane closures in place between Stanks Island near Warwick and Gaveston Junction near Leek Wootton.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed that one man was treated serious but not life-threatening injuries and transported to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

A second man was treated for injuries "not believed to be serious" before being taken to Warwick Hospital whilst a third patient was assessed and discharged at the scene.
