The building long known to residents as 'The Kenilworth' has a new chapter.

The grade II listed, 16th century property has officially reopened as The Rose & Rampart, offering boutique self-catering stays for couples, business travellers, families, and groups of up to 12.

The former cocktail bar - which closed last year - has been split in three, comprising No.63 The Rose & Rampart, the adjoining Garden Cottage, and neighbouring No.59.

The collection offers flexible accommodation for every kind of stay - from an intimate boutique cottage for two, right through to exclusive use of all three properties together, sleeping up to 12 guests across six king size bedrooms.

Each property has been "carefully restored to preserve its historic character", while offering the comforts of modern self-catering: boutique-style en-suites, fully equipped kitchens, and private outdoor space, including a shared rear courtyard garden at the heart of the site.

The transformation marks a new chapter for the site, while retaining the character and history that made it such a familiar part of the town,

"We wanted to give these beautiful old buildings a new purpose, while keeping everything that makes them special," said David Burges, founder of The Rose & Rampart.

"Whether it's a couple looking for a characterful weekend away, business travellers staying in the town, a family wanting space of their own, or a larger group coming together for a wedding or celebration, we've designed The Rose & Rampart to work for all of them."
