Kenilworth Fire Station will be decked out ready for some festive cheer this weekend as it is turned into Santa's Grotto.

From 2pm to 5pm on Saturday (December 16) families will be able to head to the School Lane station to meet Santa and join in with some festive games - all while raising money for charity.

There will also be a tombola, arts and crafts, balloon modelling and refreshments.

Tours around the station will also be offered, as well as a chance to meet the Kenilworth crew.

And there will also be Children's characters including the Grinch coming to visit.

The station will also open at 1.30pm for children with sensory needs, before the general admission.

People attending can also recieve fire safety advice from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service's prevention team.

Organisers said: "It is a cash only event, as we are raising money for The Firefighters Charity and local food causes, including feeding vulnerable families over the Christmas period.

"No booking is required but would advise to come early on as it's normally incredibly popular.

"No parking will be available at the station as we need to keep the spaces free for the firefighters."
