An empty unit in Kenilworth's town centre is set to be converted into a new sandwich shop.

Sabins Sandwich Shop - which already has branches in Warwick and Leamington Spa - is set to open a new store at The Square.

The business confirmed the move in a post on social media over the weekend.

It is set to take over the former Bayzos estate agent unit next to Forrest Coffee House.

"Kenilworth, today is one of those days we'll remember forever," the business said.

"We just signed the lease. Sabins is coming to Kenilworth.

"If you'd have told us a few years ago that we'd be opening another shop carrying our family name, we'd probably have laughed. Like so many independent businesses, we've had sleepless nights, impossible days, moments where giving up would've been easier than carrying on.

"But this community kept turning up."

Sabins said its new Kenilworth shop will not just be a copy of its existing sites.

It continued: "It'll be another home for proper sandwiches, incredible coffee, warm welcomes and the kind of place where you'll probably bump into someone you know.

"Fresh bread. Proper ingredients. Familiar faces. No shortcuts.

"We're incredibly proud, unbelievably grateful and, if we're honest, absolutely terrified… which probably means we're doing something worth doing.

"To everyone who has supported us in Leamington and Warwick: this is your achievement as much as ours."
