The Kenilworth Food Festival will return this Sunday for the first time in three years, having been cancelled since 2019 due to the pandemic.

Organised by CJ's Events Warwickshire, the event is expected to draw over 15,000 people to the town centre.

The festival will run from 10am to 5pm on Sunday 24 July in Abbey End and through the town centre.

But for the festival to take place, a number of road closures will be in place over the weekend.

The first set of closures will see Warwick Road closed from Randall Road to the Clock Tower from 9pm on Saturday 23 July until 10pm on Sunday 24 July.

On Sunday 24 the following closures will be in place from 5am to 10pm:

  • Warwick Road from Randall Road to Abbey End Car Park entrance.
  • Station Road between the junction of Warwick Road and the entrance to Abbey End Car Park.
  • Barrowell Lane between the junction of Barrowfield Lane and Warwick Road.

Alongside 90 traders there will also be children's activities including amusements and craft workshops.

A second market will also be hosted in Talisman Square showcasing over 25 local artisan traders.

Festival goers will also be treated to live music throughout the day on a temporary stage.

Stage Timetable:

  • 11am - 12noon Taylor Louise Duet
  • 12noon - 1pm Rebecca Cole
  • 1pm - 2pm Pembrooke
  • 2:15pm - 3:15pm Matt Bowen
  • 3:30pm - 4:30pm Letitia George

Aaron Probert, special events manager at CJ's Events Warwickshire said: "Kenilworth Food Festival has always been a popular community event and we're delighted to be back.

"There will be something for everyone, and this is our biggest festival this year. It's free entry for all, so we hope to see you on Sunday."
