Resurfacing works along a Kenilworth town centre road have been postponed by the county council.

Waverley Road and Priory Road were due to close for a week on Sunday (July 30) for a week.

The scheme would have seen the one way system on Station Road, Bertie Road and Southbank Road suspended until August 6.

But Warwickshire County Council has now pushed the works back due to a an "unforeseen conflict" this weekend.

An email to councillors said the works "will be completed at a later date this financial year".

Councillors will be notified again when the works will take place.

Resurfacing works at the Thickthorn roundabout are still due to take place on Sunday.
