Warwickshire Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a cyclist died following a collision on the A46 between Stoneleigh and Kenilworth last Tuesday (11 November).
The man, 55-year-old Mr Israr Hussain from Coventry, was discovered on the southbound carriageway with serious injuries at around 9.20pm, and sadly died.
Inspector Michael Huntley from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "To date, we have not been able to identify the vehicle which we believe struck Mr Hussain."
However, as part of the investigation, Warwickshire Police have identified nearly 500 vehicles passing through the area in the timeframe leading up to him being discovered, and have now written to the registered keepers of those vehicles, asking the following questions:
- Did you witness or were you involved in a collision involving a pedal cyclist or object in the carriageway?
- Did you witness the pedal cyclist or a pedestrian along the A46 between the A45 and the Kenilworth/Leamington junction?
- Do you have any dash-camera footage covering your journey along the A46, between the A45 and the M40 junction 15 interchange, between 9pm and 9.30pm on Tuesday 11 November 2025?
If anyone has any information regarding the incident, they can email [email protected] quoting incident 434 of 11 November.
