Plots still available at major Stoneleigh office park
Plots at a prestige new office development site in Stoneleigh are still available, months after they were first put on the market.
In April a leading commercial property expert said the office campus at Abbey Park was the answer to the region's "dire" shortage of commercial land.
David Penn, partner at Bromwich Hardy, said in the Spring the firm was "seeing a lot of interest" in the second phase of the development, and said the plots "won't be available for long".
But six months later, the property agent is still marketing them.
"The desperate shortage of consented development land in Coventry and Warwickshire is an issue I have been highlighting for some time now," Mr Penn said earlier this year.
"As an agency we know that demand is growing, but the capacity to meet that demand just isn't there.
"Potential investment into the area is being lost because we can't provide the space for businesses to develop and grow."
The new phase at the Abbey Park campus - in 60 acres of grade II listed parkland - is planned to house five Grade A office buildings, ranging from 15,000 sq ft. to 36,000 sq ft.
The first phase is home to several high-profile businesses including the British Horse Society, City & Guilds and agricultural equipment manufacturer AGCO.
The site has 24-hour barrier-controlled security and a concierge service, an outdoor gym, table tennis, woodland trails and picnic areas, plenty of parking and 30 acres of open space for employees to enjoy. The site also benefits from high-speed fibre optic cabling for versatile connectivity.
Midlands property agency KWB is joint agent for the scheme.
