Councillors will next week decide whether to earmark over £600,000 for a new building at a Kenilworth primary school as part of over £8 million worth of investments into local nursery places.
Warwickshire County Council is set to vote on ring-fencing £8.232m for projects at 14 different schools.
This includes Thorns Community Infants School where £633,051 is proposed for a new building.
Elsewhere in Warwick district, £593,123 is proposed for Leamington Milverton and £688,516 for Leamington Lillington - both for new buildings.
"The project aims to replace 12 buildings where refurbishment is not viable, fully refurbish one building in a different build structure and remove one building with premises repurposed within the main school building," a council report said.
It added: "To protect in excess of 500 early years nursery places, the buildings need to be replaced and / or refurbished to avoid closure of these key nursery services which support delivery of quality early years education alongside supporting working families with care in line with the Department for Education Best Start in Life and School Based Nursery provision aims."
A decision will be made at the full council meeting on Tuesday 21 July.
