The Ivy is just weeks away from opening its new restaurant in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The brasserie has confirmed its 47th eatery will open on Tuesday 29 September.

Work on the High Street restaurant has been underway for several months, with the former Debenhams store being fully renovated.

The Ivy will offer "sophisticated all-day dining," seven days a week, with space for 154 diners and an outdoor terrace with space for 12 guests.

At the helm will be General Manager Richard Chiswell and Head Chef Marc Chiong, who have previous experience at The Ivy Temple Row Brasserie in Birmingham.

The Ivy Stratford-upon-Avon Brasserie will also create more than 100 new local jobs.

Richard Chiswell said: "Theatre and storytelling are such an important part of Stratford-upon-Avon's character, so what better way to celebrate the opening of our reservation lines than with a little drama of our own.

"Speaking to local people today and hearing their excitement about the opening has made the occasion even more special and we can't wait to welcome our first guests on Tuesday 29 September."

The Ivy Stratford-upon-Avon Brasserie will serve an "extensive menu of timeless classics and seasonal specials", with something to delight every palate.

A dedicated pre-theatre menu will cater to those heading to the Royal Shakespeare Company nearby.

Bookings are now open.
