An objection to a temporary licence for an outdoor bar in Kenilworth has been withdrawn after the venue owners agreed to end their event earlier than planned.
The Garden Bar at the Pavilions had applied for a Temporary Events Notice (TEN) for a family event in April that was set to end at 11pm.
But Environmental Health raised concerns about the one-day licence saying it was likely there would "be noise nuisance to nearby residents" as customers left at the end of the night.
Warwick District Council's licensing committee was set to discuss the matter yesterday.
But the Castle Road bar owners and Environmental Health agreed before the meeting that the family day would end at 9pm instead.
A WDC spokesperson said: "The applicant and Environmental Health came to an agreement that the event would finish by 9pm (rather than 11pm as requested).
"This meant that Environmental Health withdrew their representation so the meeting was no longer required."
The event will now take place on April 16 and will include "local food vans to supply food and an outdoor bar serving alcohol and soft drinks".
