HS2 has issued its winter update for all the upcoming works around Kenilworth.

Over the past few months HS2 has had another closure on Dalehouse Lane and has been given permission for its 50 metre viaduct to the north of the town.

And now the high speed rail developer has released its spring 2024 'construction look ahead' for Warwickshire.

Upcoming work:

  • Excavating Burton Green Tunnel
  • Creating new wetlands and woodlands around Crackley
  • New alignment and bridge for Crackley Lane
  • Building Crackley Wood embankment
  • Finishing Canley Brook bridge
  • Moving soil from Glasshouse Wood cutting to Kenilworth Cutting
  • Utility works around Dalehouse Lane
  • Preparing new A46 bridge
  • Piling works around Stoneleigh

HS2 also said there will be the "removal of the minimum number of trees and vegetation needed to safely build the railway and prepare sites for construction".
