A new interior design boutique is set to open in the centre of Kenilworth next month.
Rachael Reid Interiors will host a VIP launch event on August 10 - with its official opening on Friday 11 August - following extensive renovation works at the former Nicola Smyth hair salon on Warwick Road.
Rachael Reid–Knight launched the business several years ago, offering her design skills to clients across the country.
As with many firms, the pandemic caused the business to take an initial hit. However it still has grown and developed significantly over the past few years, going from strength to strength and Rachael is now ready to open her first retail premises.
"I want it to be a really nice experience for people when they come into the boutique," Rachael explained to Nub News.
"Previously we would put photos on social media after an install on a home and we would get lots of messages from people asking where they could buy specific items they had seen, but we were only buying in items for clients' projects.
"Now at the boutique they can come in and buy individual pieces or talk about a collection of items, as well as discussing a full interior design if needed.
"So, it is being able to offer our full services as well as adding versatility to the business."
Rachael is also turning the upstairs of the premises into a design studio which like the boutique is being designed to the aesthetic style Rachael's interiors are known for.
There will also be a complimentary bar, where she will be able to talk clients through the design process in a luxurious whilst relaxed environment and present design ideas along with displaying a range of fabrics and materials.
"The team's ethos in the boutique is highly driven by customer service, meaning that if someone comes in to buy a single cushion or an accessory, they are going to receive the same level of care as someone investing in a full interior design project," she said.
"And if you are an interior design client, we will have the design studio upstairs where we can talk in detail and privacy about ideas and designs etc."
The boutique - which will employ several members of staff from the opening day - will host design classes and special events later in the year, and for Rachael, the opening next month marks the next step in a journey for Rachael Reid Interiors.
"Having grown up in a family where we have taken on many property development projects over the years, it really taught me hands on the fundamentals for the skills needed not to just design but working with all the other trades required and project management," Rachael added.
