theKenilworthCentre has announced a new 'Monday Hub' as a place to "connect, learn and be active".

The adults-only warm hub is coming to the town's community centre in partnership with Compassionate Kenilworth and will run from 2pm to 4pm starting in May.

The free afternoon event will give locals access to tennis, pool, table football, board games, quizzes and a host of other social activities.

There will even be special interest talks across the weeks.

tKC and Compassionate Kenilworth said the Monday Hub will run throughout the year, thanks to recently received funding.

"There will be a rolling program of activity led by attendees determining whether we show a film, run a quiz or a cooking or special interest session along with access to reading spaces," organisers said.

"We are hoping this will become a popular option for socially isolated members of the community to access social connection.

"We will be inviting different organisations to showcase support at various times throughout the year so it will be a great opportunity for the community to access support around cost of living, energy saving tips and suggestions as well as offering a signposting and onwards referral service to those who might need additional help."
