Mr Bean may be known for driving a Mini, but his creator Rowan Atkinson is selling his own small car, a Toyota Yaris.

The comedy legend is putting the diminutive motor he's owned for the past three years on the auction block.

Offered directly from the 71-year-old, the car benefits from modest mileage of 6,700 miles from new and is estimated at £25,000 to £30,000.

Rob Hubbard, managing director and principal auctioneer at Iconic Auctioneers, said: "The GR Yaris has quickly established itself as one of the most interesting performance cars of its generation.

"This example is particularly appealing, coming directly from Rowan Atkinson with sensible mileage and careful ownership."

In the classic comedy series Mr Bean, the character is famously associated with a British Leyland Mini 1000.

In real life, Rowan Atkinson is a huge motoring fan, owning a multimillion-pound collection of supercars like the McLaren F1 and classic racers such as the BMW 328.

The Toyota GR Yaris will be offered at Iconic Auctioneers' Race Retro auction on February 21 at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.
