HS2 has confirmed yet more roadworks for Stoneleigh Road.

Traffic lights will return to the road between Mary Lodge Drive and Stoneleigh Park from July 13 until August 2.

The road will then be closed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from Monday 3 August to Sunday 30 August 2026.

An HS2 notice said: "We previously shared the dates for the ongoing temporary traffic lights on the B4113 Stoneleigh Road.

"Following the completion of work in April, May and June the final phase of the works will now be extended by a week from: 8am-6pm, Monday 13 July until Sunday 2 August 2026.

"We will be doing additional investigatory work and utility diversions in preparation for the west tie-ins and the new realignment over the Green Overbridge."

It added: "We will be constructing the new roundabout at Stoneleigh Road and beginning the tie in work to the existing road, creating a new entrance at Stoneleigh Park, moving and connecting multiple utilities and realigning the Stareton Lane junction. We will be working 24/7 during these phases."

Access to properties and Stoneleigh Park will be maintained throughout the traffic light period. When the road is closed the entrance to Stoneleigh Park will be via temporary access from the Stoneleigh village side of the closure.
