Police are appealing for witnesses after money was snatched from a till in Kenilworth on Thursday (12 September).

Kenilworth Watch said the incident happened at a Leyes Lane shop between 7pm and 7.30pm.

"A male offender described as white, in his 40's wearing a dark blue jacket and black hat snatched money from the till inside the retail premises and then made off in a black VW Golf towards Kenilworth School & Sixth Form," the statement said.

Kenilworth Watch did not name the shop involved.
