A man from Bedworth has been fined for breaking lockdown rules by travelling 14 miles to play Pokemon Go in Kenilworth

The man, who has not been named, has received a £200 fine after admitting to Warwickshire Police that he had driven to Kenilworth to look for characters on Tuesday, January 12.

He was spotted on Cryfield Grange Road.

Warwickshire Police has said the fine was issued for "contravening the requirement to not leave or be outside the place they live without a reasonable excuse".

Police added "Everyone has a part to play in ensuring they slow the spread of the virus.

"We would like to remind people they must not leave or be outside their home unless they have a reasonable excuse."
