A man has been arrested after an attempted burglary at a Post Office in Kenilworth's town centre.

Police said the man was caught shortly after the incident at Abbey End yesterday afternoon (Monday 29).

Officers from Kenilworth's Safer Neighbourhood Team were first at the scene after a personal attack alarm was raised.

"Response officers and SNT searched the area for the suspect and their accomplices," a force statement said.

"Two males were apprehended nearby.

"One male was arrested on suspicion of burglary related offence(s) and was conveyed to custody.

"If you have information and/or evidence such as CCTV/Dash Cam footage relating to this incident, please contact Warwickshire Police on 101/online and quote crime reference: 23/28390/26."
