Man arrested after allegedly pointing firearm at bus and passing vehicles

A man has been arrested after allegedly pointing what appeared to be a firearm at a bus and passing vehicles on Kenilworth Road.

The incident, which took place yesterday evening (Monday, 30 June), prompted a rapid response from unarmed officers at Leamington Spa Police Station.

Acting on information received, officers located and detained the suspect, conducting a stop and search.

Warwick District Council community wardens assisted in the swift arrest.

The man remains in custody and is under investigation for possession of an imitation firearm.
