UPDATE: A46 now open after major crash with one man taken to hospital
The A46 has reopened after being closed southbound around Kenilworth following a major crash this morning.
National Highways reported the dual carriageway was closed between the A45 at Coventry and the A452 Kenilworth around 3.30am this morning.
One man aged 20 has been taken to the hospital with serious leg injuries following the crash.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
National Highways said: "The collision occurred at around 3.30am this morning involving a heavy goods vehicle and a van."
One motorist told Nub News the incident caused "carnage" on the local road network this morning,
Warwickshire Police recovered vehicles after the collision and conducted an investigation this morning.
The carriageway was closed for several hours before reopening around 1pm.
