A local care provider has thanked everyone who gave a positive review leading the company being named as one of the "Top 20 Mid-Size Care Home Groups" in the UK.

Awarded by Carehome.co.uk, the award recognised WCS Care for its exemplary work running 13 care homes across the region including Castle Brook (a care home for older people and people with dementia) and Newlands (a care home for younger adults) in Kenilworth.

The award is based on reviews submitted to Carehome.co.uk by residents, their relatives, and friends, achieving an overall group review score.

Commenting on the achievement, Keren Salt, director of quality and compliance said: "This award means everything to us as it is based on reviews from residents, their relatives and loved ones who have given their opinion about the service we provide.

"Working throughout the pandemic has been a really challenging time for our team and it is heartening to see that they have ensured that we continue to deliver the highest standards of care to all our residents.

"We are grateful to our staff for their hard work and dedication to our residents and their families."

WCS Care is no stranger to awards having recently been awarded gold level accreditation by Investors in People.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2022, WCS Care was recognised for taking full ownership of the practices that are in place to support its team and demonstrating that the company is actively trying to make work better for people.
