A thirteen year old boy was arrested in Kenilworth yesterday (October 28) after police found that he was carrying a knife.

A statement on the Kenilworth and Warwick Rural Police Facebook page said "Whilst on patrol this evening PC Jones and PCSO Clayton stopped and spoke to a young male in the Albion Street area of Kenilworth.

"He was subsequently detained and searched under Section 23 Misuse Drugs Act."

The police did not find any drugs on the male, however did discover that he was in possession of the knife pictured.

"The young male in question (only 13!!) was arrested after a brief struggle.

"Goes without saying how dangerous it is to carry a knife and the potentially fatal consequences that come from it."
