At just 18 years old, Kenilworth's Amelia Oliver has become a rising singing star, reaching listeners from outside the town's borders all across the world.

Two years ago, Amelia decided to create a TikTok account dedicated to sharing covers of her favourite songs with clips of herself playing guitar and singing along.

Since then, she's steadily grown a following of over 7,300 followers.

With fans across the world, in Canada, the USA, Spain, and many more, her followers all seem to have one thing in common - they appreciate her honest, raw vocals.

Amelia offers a "new, completely original sound" that has been described as "calming" and "captivating".

Amelia also writes her own original songs - her most popular are empty plate, one wish and something inside.

The teenager says she draws from personal experiences and emotions to create music that resonates deeply with her followers.

Her most popular songs cover themes such as eating disorder recovery, anxiety and love.

Through the use of TikTok, she has built a safe, open space for people to connect and share their own experiences.

Her latest single empty plate has already reached over 3,500 streams, and she boasts over 2,000 listeners on Spotify - a significant achievement for an artist still early on in her career.

Despite being early on in her music career, Amelia remains committed to developing her sound and connecting with her audience.

Local music fans can expect more from Kenilworth singer-songwriter Amelia Oliver in the coming months, as she continues to craft songs that are both memorable, and intimate.
