The Virgins and Castle has announced the restart of its 'Pub Desk' offer to give those working from home a change of scene.

The High Street pub had originally run the scheme last October, and has restarted the offer following the easing of lockdown restrictions.

For £12 a day, you can reserve your own pub desk between 9:00am and 5:00pm (Monday to Friday), enjoy unlimited tea, coffee and water, lunch menu, free WiFi and a power socket.

General Manager, Andy Lock explained "We're seeing a growth in freelance workers as well as people looking for flexible working and blending of work, socialising and recreation into their lifestyles.

"Pubs, restaurants and cafes are developing the third space concept of being the place that people can visit and spend time. We have home, work and then the third space - typically the coffee shop which the likes of Starbucks and Costa have done so well.

"The Virgins and Castle has been a home from home for our guests for centuries and I think for many co-workers they'll be quite envious that their colleagues get to work from their favourite local."

You can reserve your Pub Desk at the Virgins & Castle by visiting their website or calling the pub on 01926 853 737 to book a table quoting 'pub desk.'
