Kenilworth pub closes permanently as chain enters administration
By James Smith 27th Jan 2026
A Kenilworth pub has confirmed it will close as the chain behind it goes into administration.
The Almanack - which is part of Peach Pubs - has closed today (January 27).
Revel Collective, which owns Peach Pubs as well as Revolucion de Cuba, confirmed it would enter administration yesterday.
It was expected The Almanack would remain open, but it has now confirmed it will shut.
"We're now closed," its website says.
"Thank you for a truly Peachy few years.
"From first pints to last orders, it's been an absolute joy serving you, and we'll miss our wonderful community more than we can say.
"This chapter may be closing, but the good times don't have to stop, pop in and see our sister pubs, where a warm welcome is always waiting."
Peach Pubs has nearby venues including the Rose & Crown in Warwick and The Star and Garter in Leamington Spa.
These venues as well as the Revolution bar chain will remain open during the process.
Peach Pubs was bought by the Revel Collective in 2022 for £16.5 million as has 22 pubs nationwide.
The business says its discussions with a buyer are "well advanced" but has still entered administration.
