A Kenilworth Post Office has been put up for sale.

The Post Office at 59 Abbey End is currently for sale leasehold for £99,950 with the prospective purchaser being offered full training after taking over the business.

And the Post Office has confirmed that it already has a buyer interested.

With a ten-year lease agreed at the premises, the shop has also recently been renovated and offers "huge scope to introduce new lines such as alcohol and groceries".

Whilst the business is currently for sale, the shop remains open as usual.

A Post Office spokesperson said: "Kenilworth Post Office is open as normal. This branch is run on our behalf by a Postmaster.

"This Postmaster is planning to sell the business as a successful going-concern. There is an interested person who wants to buy this business."

The announcement of the Post Office's sale comes in the same week as Papa John's opened a branch in Abbey End.

And in the same week as the premises of two Warwick Road shops were sold for £453,000.
