Kenilworth now third most expensive place to live in Warwickshire

Kenilworth is now the third most expensive Warwickshire town to live in according to Zoopla.

The online property experts did have Kenilworth as the second as the most expensive place to buy a house in the county back in January.

But five months later it has now been overtaken by Shipston-on-Stour, with Henley-in-Arden remaining in top spot.

Despite the comparative fall down the list, the average property price in Kenilworth has increased by £40,000 to £456,948 since the start of the year.

The rest of the top five is made up by Stratford-upon-Avon, and Warwick.

The top ten has been compiled using a zed-Index where the average property value in a given area is based on current Zoopla Estimates.

In total 330 Kenilworth properties were sold in the last year the average cost was £431,189.

Of those, flats in Kenilworth sold for an average of £214,123 and terraced houses for £323,870, with detached homes fetching around £605,536.
