The first ever Kenilworth Fringe Festival, a week of cultural activities, discussion and performances, starts today (February 2).

The festival will be held at venues around the town culminating in a weekend of events at the Holiday Inn on Saturday and Sunday (Feb 7/8).

Events range from musical performances to discussions about books and authors, political discussion and creative activities.

Festival organiser Rebecca Warwick, chair of Kenilworth Chamber of Trade, said: "We are so excited to have launched this Festival, a first for Kenilworth.

"We hope it offers a wide range of activities to interest everyone over the course of the week.

"The festival captures so many good things about our community and we really hope local people will come out in big numbers to support it.

"We thank all of our participants for giving their time, often free of charge, which has meant many of the events are free to attend.

"We hope people enjoy this fabulous week of events."

For more information about Kenilworth Fringe Festival and to buy tickets for the entry fee events, visit the Fringe Festival section of the Kenilworth Chamber of Trade website or visit Kenilworth Books in Talisman Square.
