Crews from Kenilworth Fire Station were called out last night (March 23) to deal with an unattended bonfire on the greenway.

The bonfire had been started in a farmers field but then spread into a nearby hedgerow.

A spokesperson said: "Just after 7.00pm last night we were called to our fourth incident this week, this was to a fire in the open on the Greenway in Kenilworth.

"An unattended bonfire in a farmers field had spread and set fire to a hedgerow.

"We used buckets of water, a water backpack sprayer and small tools to extinguish the fire."
