Energy bill rebates for Kenilworth residents will begin to be paid tomorrow (April 22).
Eligible households in bands A-D will receive a £150 rebate from the government's taxpayers' funds via Warwick District Council.
The first phase of payments will be made on Friday, April 22 and arrive in residents' bank accounts by Tuesday 26.
The council will then begin rolling out daily payments.
WDC received the software for making payments nearly a fortnight ago and has since been testing it to make sure all eligible residents who pay council tax via direct debit receive their rebate.
After WDC has broken the bulk of these payments to direct debit payers, it will start contacting all eligible residents who do not pay via direct debit to get them to complete an online form to allow the council to verify the data provided and make payments to their bank accounts too.
WDC can also provide help for customers unable to use the online form themselves and also has a default option for the £150 to be credited to their council tax account and so reduce their monthly instalments.
Cllr Jan Matecki said: "We fully appreciate that many households in our district are struggling financially with spiralling fuel bills and inflation.
"At very short notice our teams are going the extra mile to ensure that these payments are made as quickly as possible to those who are eligible, whilst making sure all the necessary checks are in place to prevent fraudulent claims."
