Kenilworth Christmas light switch on event announced

The 2020 Christmas light switch on event in Kenilworth will be done in conjunction with Warwick District Council, as town centres in the area are all set to join in with first virtual event.

As a physical light switch celebration is out of the question due to social distancing guidelines, Warwick District Council have organised their first virtual light switch on event 'Light Up the District.'

On November 27, between 17:45 - 18:15, residents in Kenilworth and surrounding towns are encouraged to watch the lights be switched on in the town centres whilst switching yours on at the same time.

A Facebook event has been created, and you can add yourself to it by following this link.

What is the schedule?

  1. 45pm - The event will go live on Facebook and YouTube with an introduction from guest speaker

6pm - lights will be switched on in Warwick, Leamington, Kenilworth and Whitnash; switch yours on too!

  1. 15pm - event finishes, but the celebrations at home continue!
